Maria graduated with a Master of Architecture from the Polytechnical University of Madrid.  She has a broad experience as an architect both in Spain and the UK. She has a good aptitude for teamwork with multitasking and time-management skills and is a proficient Revit user. Maria joined BDP Pattern to work on Al Rayyan Stadium for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Subsequently, she worked leading the Masterplan design team for the Videna Sports Complex in Lima, for the 2019 Pan and Parapan American Games, that includes a Velodrome, Athletics Stadium, Aquatic Centre, Multisport Centre, Bowling and athlete accommodation.

Prior to BDP Pattern, Maria worked in several residential projects in Spain, carrying out architectural, structural and MEP coordination tasks. During this period, she achieved a detailed level of knowledge across all stages of project design. But her passion for the design of sports facilities comes because of her previous experience as a professional volleyball player, which helps her understand the space and functionality of this type of buildings.

Since moving to London, Maria has joined the register of certified British architects.
