Carolina Perea

Carolina is an architect from the Peruvian University of Applied Science and recently graduated as a Master of Architecture (MArch) at the Architectural Association School in London (AA). She has 6 years of experience designing large-scale projects and masterplans in Peru in collaboration with international practices. Carolina joined BDP Pattern in 2018 to work as a design coordinator on the prestigious VIDENA National Sports Complex project for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.

Since the beginning of her career, Carolina has been involved in all design stages from concept to construction. She is experienced in fast-track projects, where she delivers technical information and has a critical eye for interior and façade details.

During her studies at the AA School, she focused her research on the relationship between parametric design and material systems, by merging these two fields with immersive technologies such as Virtual Reality. The outcome of her final research was a new tool for participatory design through a 3-dimensional application called Urban Glitch.
