Legacy Park
London, UKAn integrated landscape and visitor centre for London 2012 legacy.
This proposal is a new landscaped masterplan to enhance the Lee Valley White Water Course used for the London 2012 Olympic Games. This legacy scheme imagines an integrated landscape that links together new and existing facilities with clear circulation while creating ample outdoor viewing areas for spectators.
The masterplan is arranged around the main circulation axis that links the existing building with a new park pavilion set into the mounded landscape. Comprising a cafe, lecture theatre and exhibition centre, the pavilion is the main point of entry into the park. The landscaping around the pavilion creates a sequence of formal and informal viewing points for spectators.
